Duomi Market Review Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 21, 2026
Last Updated: September 21, 2026

“Duomi Market Review” (the “App”) is developed and operated by 金栋君 (Jindongjun Jin) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We value your privacy and explain in this Policy how the App processes information under applicable law.

Please read this Policy carefully before using the App. If you do not agree, please stop using the App. In particular, the App does not maintain a separate account system, integrate advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs, or access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone. The App receives an image only when you expressly select it through the system photo picker for use as a review attachment.

1. Information We Process

1.1 Review Content You Create

When you use the journaling features, the App processes content that you enter or select, including:

  • notebook names, selected markets, and appearance settings;
  • review dates, market conditions, market trends, and market sentiment;
  • custom metric names, units, and values;
  • capital-flow sector names;
  • free-form text such as “Today’s Observations” and “One-Sentence Summary”;
  • image attachments that you choose to add to a review; and
  • creation and update times and random internal identifiers associated with those records.

Purpose of processing: to save, edit, and display your market-review records; generate calendars, timelines, monthly reviews, and metric trends; and synchronize records across your devices when eligible.

Do not enter unrelated national identification numbers, bank-card numbers, account passwords, precise home addresses, health information, or another person’s personal information in free-form or custom fields. If you choose to enter such information, the App will store it as part of your review data locally and may synchronize it to your iCloud.

1.2 Local Settings and Operational Information

The App stores preferences such as theme, language, rise/fall colors, and current notebook on your device. It also stores recent CloudKit synchronization events, times, results, and error descriptions locally to remember your settings, show synchronization status, and troubleshoot issues. We do not collect or use this information for advertising profiles.

1.3 iCloud/CloudKit Data

When your device is signed in to iCloud, the App is allowed to use iCloud, and system conditions permit, the App synchronizes your review content through Apple CloudKit to the private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account so that you can access it across your devices.

  • Apple provides and processes iCloud synchronization.
  • The App does not obtain your Apple Account password.
  • CloudKit assigns an anonymous, container-specific user identifier and processes necessary device, system, operation, and synchronization logs.
  • Content in the private database is, by default, accessible only to the corresponding iCloud user. The App currently does not provide a feature for sharing review records with other users.
  • If CloudKit is unavailable, the App falls back to local-only storage.

For information about Apple’s processing, see the Apple Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms.

1.4 Purchase and Subscription Information

When you purchase an Annual Membership or Lifetime Membership, Apple processes the payment and order. Through StoreKit, the App receives information necessary to verify and provide your entitlement, such as the product identifier, transaction-verification result, currently active entitlement, and expiration or revocation status. We do not directly receive your full bank-card number or other complete payment credentials.

Purpose of processing: to complete and restore purchases, verify membership status, prevent fraud, and provide purchased features. Apple’s own terms and privacy policy govern its processing of transaction data.

1.5 Image Selection and Add-Only Photo-Library Permission

When you add an image attachment to a daily review, the system photo picker provides the App only with images that you expressly select. The App compresses and stores the selected images. If iCloud synchronization is enabled, an attachment may be synchronized to your private iCloud database. The App does not scan or access unselected photos or videos in the background.

When you tap “Save WeChat Image to Photos,” the App requests add-only access to your photo library solely to save the built-in developer contact QR code to the system photo library. This permission does not allow the App to read your photo library. You can withdraw the permission in iOS Settings. Refusing it does not affect core review features.

1.6 Information You Provide When Contacting Us

If you contact us by email, WeChat, Xiaohongshu, or another external channel, we process the email address, social-media account information, message content, attachments, and necessary troubleshooting information that you voluntarily provide, for the purpose of responding to inquiries, handling complaints, or providing support. The relevant external platform independently processes information under its own privacy policy.

Unless you actively send it, the App does not automatically transmit review content or diagnostic information from your device to us.

3. Legal Bases and Processing Principles

We process information on one or more of the following bases: it is necessary to provide a feature you request or perform our agreement with you; you have given consent; processing is necessary to meet a legal obligation; or processing is permitted by law to protect product and information security.

We follow the principles of specified purpose, data minimization, transparency, and security. We do not sell your information to third parties or use cross-app or cross-website data to track you or deliver personalized advertising.

4. Sharing, Entrusted Processing, and Disclosure

We process or disclose information only in the following circumstances:

  1. Apple: Apple provides private data storage and synchronization through iCloud/CloudKit, and purchases, subscription verification, and purchase restoration through the App Store/StoreKit. Apple may process information relating to your Apple Account, device, transactions, and operation of its services.
  2. External services you choose to open: When you tap a link to Xiaohongshu, email, the App Store, or another service, the third party processes information under its own rules.
  3. Legal requirements: We may disclose necessary information when lawfully requested by a competent authority or when necessary to protect the personal or property safety and lawful rights of users, the public, us, or others.
  4. Business changes: If a merger, demerger, acquisition, asset transfer, or similar transaction involves the transfer of personal information, we will identify the recipient as required by law and require it to remain bound by this Policy. If the purpose or method of processing changes, we will obtain renewed consent where required.

Except as described above, we do not sell, rent, or publicly disclose your review content. The App currently does not integrate third-party advertising, attribution, or behavioral analytics SDKs.

5. Storage, Retention, and Cross-Border Processing

  1. Local data is stored on your device until you delete it within the App, erase device data, or uninstall the App. Before uninstalling, confirm whether you need to retain any data.
  2. Synchronized data is stored in your private iCloud database. Its retention depends on your deletion actions, iCloud settings, Apple’s service rules, and applicable law. Merely uninstalling the App may not delete data from iCloud.
  3. Apple retains purchase records according to its rules and legal obligations. The App reads only the transaction and entitlement status necessary to provide membership benefits at runtime.
  4. We generally retain customer-support communications that you send us for no longer than three years after the matter is resolved. If a longer period is required by law, dispute resolution, or security needs, we retain the information only for the necessary period.
  5. iCloud, the App Store, and external platforms you choose to use may process information through Apple’s or the relevant platform’s global infrastructure. The provider governs storage locations and cross-border arrangements under its applicable terms. We do not independently transfer your review content to our own overseas servers.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may exercise rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, restrict processing of, or withdraw consent concerning personal information:

  • Access and correction: view and edit records directly in the App.
  • Delete an individual record or notebook: use the corresponding delete feature in the App.
  • Delete local device data: first disable or otherwise address iCloud synchronization, then delete the App. Merely uninstalling the App may not delete iCloud data.
  • Manage iCloud data: manage the App’s use of iCloud and its stored data in your Apple device’s iCloud settings. The exact path may vary by operating-system version.
  • Withdraw photo permission: manage access under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription: go to iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting data or uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.
  • Contact us: if you cannot complete a request in the App, email jafu_jin@hotmail.com. To protect data security, we may verify a request to the reasonably necessary extent but will not require information unrelated to the request.

Because the App does not maintain its own account system and CloudKit private databases are isolated by Apple Account, we may be unable to locate or directly operate on your private iCloud data using only an email address. If so, we will explain available on-device or official Apple options.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of consent before withdrawal or necessary processing based on another lawful ground.

7. Information Security

We use measures appropriate to the relevant risks, including Apple’s app sandbox, system permission controls, StoreKit transaction verification, and CloudKit account access controls. No network or storage system is completely secure. If an information-security incident may harm your rights, we will take remedial measures and provide notifications or reports as required by law.

Please protect your device passcode and Apple Account and avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information in free-form review fields.

8. Children’s and Minors’ Privacy

The App is not specifically directed to children under 14 and does not actively request age or identity information. A child under 14 should use the App only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian and should not enter sensitive personal information in free-form fields. If you are a guardian and believe we have processed information about a child under your care, contact us using the details below. We will verify and address the matter as required by law.

9. Third-Party Links

The App may provide links to third-party services such as Apple, Xiaohongshu, and email clients. The App opens or leaves for a third-party service only after you actively tap the relevant link. This Policy does not control the third party’s processing. Review its privacy policy and provide information with care.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in features, laws, regulations, or processing practices. For material changes to processing purposes, information categories, recipients, or your rights, we will notify you through an in-app notice, release notes, or another reasonable method. Where consent is legally required, we will obtain it separately.
